Esophagitis
Inflammation of the esophagus that can form due to an infection or irritation in the lining of the esophagus. Both candida and herpes can contribute to the developments of esophagitis. Much like GERD it comes with trouble swallowing, heartburn, mouth sores, nausea, vomiting. Alcohol abuse can also contribute to development of esophagitis. Esophageal dilation can help aid in the restricted swallowing process.
