Hepatitis
Hepatitis is an Inflammation of the liver. May be caused by infection (viruses), medications, and immune system disorders. It can also be developed through prolonged alcohol (ethanol) consumption. Hepatitis can be characterized as acute when it lasts no longer than six months. In many cases, no symptoms present themselves initially, but symptoms such as jaundice, malaise, swelling in the stomach and malnutrition can develop. Treatment is an absolute must with acute hepatitis.
