Dr. Steven Guttmann

Dr. Steven Guttmann is board certified in Internal Medicine and Gastroenterology. He received his BA in psychology from Brooklyn College/CUNY and went on to receive his medical degree from Sackler University. Steven completed his medical residency at Maimonides Medical Center in Brooklyn. After serving as Chief Medical Resident he completed his Gastroenterology Fellowship at Maimonides Medical Center.

Following fellowship, Dr. Guttmann served as a staff attending at Forest Hill-Long Island Jewish Hospital as well as the Director of Endoscopy. He subsequently went on to run a busy inpatient gastroenterology service at Long Island Jewish and North Shore University Hospitals/Northwell.

Dr. Guttmann is an Assistant Professor of Medicine at Mount Sinai University Hospital and has numerous national publications and presentations on gastrointestinal topics. His interests include general luminal gastroenterology, inflammatory bowel disease, hepatic-pancreaticobiliary disease, and therapeutic GI.

Dr. Guttmann is driven by the bonds he builds with his patients, working together with them to achieve a healthy life.
